Course Info
Designed by John & Frank Stenzel in 1926, initially with the intention of becoming a cornerstone for real estate development, Glendoveer opened their 18-hole East course for the first time. Due to the immediate success and local popularity, this was followed by the development and opening of the West course in 1928, making it the first 36-hole facility in the state of Oregon.
Lined with over 2000 Douglas Fir trees, the East course provides more of a challenge to golfers, with longer, narrower fairways, interesting twists, side hill lies and well-placed sand traps, making it a great workout to walk and undoubtedly the tougher of the two tracks. While the West is more wide-open with less sand traps, with the monstrous Douglas Firs remain ever present as they do throughout the East, the flatter nature of the hole layout on the West course allows this to be a much easier trek.
Partnered with a fully stocked Pro Shop, adjoining restaurant, two-story driving range, 4 heated, indoor tennis courts, and a 3-mile public walking trail, Glendoveer offers an wonderful opportunity for more than just golfers to enjoy the full extent of the property.
