Investing in Your Future

Caddying transcends being merely a summer job; it’s a cherished tradition in golf that instills essential life values. Alongside learning the game itself, caddying provides many opportunities for growth and development of valuable life skills.

We proudly present The Campbell Caddie Academy, a free training program named after the founders of The Children’s Course and offered in collaboration with the Western Golf Association/Evans Scholars Foundation. Tailored for aspiring caddies aged 14-16, our program helps participants cultivate essential caddie skills and knowledge, learn how to apply for caddie opportunities in the summer caddie programs at prominent area country clubs, and take an initial step towards pursuing the prestigious and highly competitive Evans Caddie Scholarship. The program is open to youth aged 14-16 who are (1) either participants in our First Tee or Girls Golf programs, or (2) are assessed by the Western Golf Association as potential prospects for the Evans Caddie Scholarship.

The program is delivered each Spring, with each program consisting of three (3) separate sessions at The Children’s Course in Gladstone, OR. Each program is typically delivered over 3 Sundays. The 2025 Caddie Academy is now closed and the 2026 trainings will be held on dates TBD during March, April and May of 2026.
